dc.description.abstract | This study provides an in-depth analysis of the relationship between human development and household expenditure patterns in Malappuram district, Kerala, India. The main goal is to examine how household spending behaviour impacts human development. To achieve this, the research has been guided by four primary objectives, with specific hypotheses to test various aspects related to human developments, household expenditures, and their interconnections. The study utilizes a hybrid methodology that combines both qualitative and quantitative research approaches.
