| dc.description.abstract | This research presents an analytical study of the Prophetic narrative style as manifested in Al-Qasas al-Nabawi: Duroos wa ‘Ibar by Saeed bin Mustafa Diab. The study explores the distinctivenarrative techniques employed in Prophetic storytelling (al-qasas al-nabawi), emphasizing itspedagogical, ethical, and rhetorical dimensions within Islamic discourse. By examining selectednarratives presented in the book, the research highlights how the Prophetic method of narrationcombines clarity, brevity, emotional appeal, and moral depth to effectively convey lessons andvalues. The study begins by outlining the theoretical framework of narrative (al-sard) in Islamic tradition, tracing the role of storytelling in the Qur’an and Sunnah as a means of guidance, moralinstruction, and spiritual reform. It situates Prophetic narratives within the broader context ofArabic narrative heritage, demonstrating their influence on later Islamic and Arabic literaryforms. Special attention is given to the stylistic features of Prophetic narration, such as dialogue, repetition, symbolic imagery, suspense, and situational realism.A detailed analytical reading of Al-Qasas al-Nabawi: Duroos wa ‘Ibar reveals Saeed bin MustafaDiab’s methodological approach in selecting, organizing, and interpreting Prophetic stories. Theresearch examines how the author extracts educational lessons (‘ibar), ethical values, and socialprinciples from Hadith-based narratives, presenting them in a manner accessible tocontemporary readers while preserving their original authenticity. The study also highlights thebalance between narrative beauty and doctrinal accuracy achieved in the work.Methodologically, the research adopts an analytical and descriptive approach, supported bytextual analysis and references to classical and contemporary scholarship in Hadith studies, rhetoric, and narrative theory. The findings demonstrate that Prophetic narrative style ischaracterized by narrative economy, emotional engagement, and universal applicability, makingit a powerful tool for moral and social transformation. In conclusion, the study affirms that Al-Qasas al-Nabawi: Duroos wa ‘Ibar serves as a significantcontribution to the study of Prophetic storytelling. It underscores the enduring relevance of theProphetic narrative style and its capacity to address human, social, and spiritual concerns acrosstime, offering valuable insights for scholars, educators, and researchers in Islamic and Arabicstudies. | |
