A stylistic study on the orations of Sheikh Abdur Rahman As-Sudais
Abstract
This study focuses on the book “Kowkabathu Alkhuthabu Almuneefa Min Minbari Al Kaaba Al Shareefa” (Volume one) authored by Abdur Rahman As-Sudais. The book contains orations delivered by Abdur Rahman As-Sudais in Makkah Haram on Fridays. The thesis highlights on significany impact of Arabic literature. Abdur Rahman As- Sudais one of the nine imams of the Grand Mosque, Masjid al- Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia serves as the president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques and is a renowned Qari (reciter of the Qu’ran). The thesis is organized as four chapters. The first chapter explores various topics such as the art of oratory, its origin, social importance and Abdur Rahman As- Sudais’s orations’ impact on Arabic literature. The second chapter explains Sudais’s life history, his biography, preaching style, and his contributions to the Arabic language. The third chapter describes and discusses various orations of Sudais on different topics. The fourth chapter conducts on extensive and elaborated study based on the book, “Kowkabathu Alkhuthabu Almuneefa Min Minbari Al Kaaba Al Shareefa”.Finally, the study incoraporates findings and recommendations of research scholars who have explored and analyzed this research.
